Halloween 2012 and ear infection

O's class party was today. She was so excited to take the Cheetos to the party! LOL!

We skipped trick-or-treating in favor of attending dance. Hopefully next year she'll be more apt to actually walk up to a stranger. It just wasn't happening this year!

Back on monday o wasn't napping at school so mrs. Brooksie apparently thought it was a good idea to let her roam the hallways and eat cookies. Heck, I'd refuse nap in favor of that too! Love you Brooksie! :)

The Halloween ghost visited o Monday night/Tuesday morning. She got a few new books!

So I took her to school with her new books and got a text abt an hour later that it wasn't a good day. O was crying and saying her ear hurt. Also got pics that would break any mama's heart. My mom was on her way so rett went and got her and kept her until mom got here. We made an appt to go see aunt jenny at 1:30.

So our first "we need to see a dr bc of an ear infection." She had 2 ear infections when she was little both on the heels of rsv. Had we not been going back for re-checks of that we would have never known abt the ears. That's why I consider this her first "real" ear infection. Looking back I still feel like those first few winters were TOUGH but am so thankful that we didn't have ear issues. I have friends that live with ear issues and it does not sound like something I want to do! I'm also thankful we now have aunt jenny to fix our snotty nose and bad ears. But for anything real serious she's telling me we have to see our real dr. I don't blame her. She doesn't want o to think she's the bad guy!

Worn out!

Another BUSY weekend has come and gone. Saturday we had 3 parties to attend. Luke alexander turned 3 at 10 am. Anders Mcgehee turned 1 at 4:30 and avie hendrix had a Halloween party at 5. And I'm proud to say we made them all. Some we were early for and some we were late for but that happens when trying to squeeze too much into one day!

O was a funky fairy for anders and avie's parties.

I wish u could see her side ponytail better!

It was great seeing shelley and her fam and spending time with janie and Millie Marie. We also saw some other old friends we hadn't seen in a while.

Today was a big day for o. She sang in church for the first time. Well, more accurately, she stood in church. But it could have been worse. She didn't run out crying so it was a moral victory for her! Lol!

Thank goodness for Preston parker and Cullen clark. It may have been silent up there if it weren't for them! They were all precious!! GG, pops, jenny, jackie, john, brock and Matt all came to church to watch her. It was fun having everyone there! We nearly took up a whole pew!

After a family lunch we went to the KD pumpkin party. Miss shelby was the highlight of that party. O loves her babysitters!

Then to Trinity's fall festival. She didn't want to do anything but the petting zoo. So that's what we did!

We are all pretty worn out!!

Super model Belle

Belle.

Super model Belle.

Again, love living in a college town. The student athlete assoc hosted a Halloween carnival on tues night before the basketball bonanza which is basically the beginning of the season pep rally. I had fun. O, well she was unsure. She's in a very shy phase and worries a lot. We're working on it.

We're also working on who's the mama that makes the rules and who's the kid that follows them. She'll get there!

Belle, Minnie mouse, silly monster. Precious friends.

Great weekend

We had a most fab weekend. Started Friday after work. We went to the Wilkerson's with the Nappers and carved pumpkins and ate pizza! Well, the mamas carved (cut the top off and scooped the guts) and the kids painted. Lots of funny one liners from the mouths of babes!

Jenny and John showed up on their way to a Halloween party!

Saturday started with Kaden's birthday party.

And then to the tailgate/game. I asked o to take a pic of me and Matt. I think it turned out ok!

And then she insisted on me taking their pic!

LOVES Jackie!

She really "got" what a cheerleader is this week. She said the boys hold up the girls on one leg. And insisted she do the same. We practiced at the tailgate and then perfected it at the game. :)

Great times with pops!

I let her go down to buy a water by herself. She ALMOST did it. She went down there and the nice boy tried to get her to tell him what she wanted but she just couldn't say it loud enough. I intervened and thanked him for participating in my attempt to "unshy" my child.

I'm hoping I'm making some memories with her.

She made it about 2 minutes into the 3rd quarter. But I hate leaving early! At 70-21 going into the 4th we called it a night. She slept all the way to the car and for the 20 minute ride home and on into bed. The girl was tired!

Being silly at lunch.

She wanted a belt to wear to choir tonight so I found one of mine and wrapped it around her. And then she modeled it. And model she did. :)

I'm tired just typing all that. Next weekend is shaping up to be just as busy. But I do love it. :)
