And the rest of the story.

Olivia had the best weekend ever! Her little body is slap worn out as evidenced by the tantrum this morning but it was so worth it! Saturday she woke up to a huge surprise in her backyard.

She LOVES her trampoline!

Saturday afternoon was our church egg hunt. It was all fun and games until the Easter bunny showed up. She screamed to go home so we left.

Then we went to Monroe to spend the evening with Jackie and Brock. If they would let o live with them she'd move in a minute. We stayed later than I'd planned and o was filthy so I bathed her there. But I didn't have any pj's. Super tiny Jackie to the rescue - xs running shirt works just fine! O talked about wearing Jackie's shirt the whole way home.

Sunday brought a new level of excitement. I'd asked some friends for a play date and Dewanna offered her parents house. It was amazing. We dyed Easter eggs, watched an airplane take off in their backyard, had an egg hunt, rode on a golf cart, swang, ran, jumped, and even played dress up! I've never seen her so happy and to watch her play and carry on conversations with her friends was so much fun for me. 3 1/2 hours later I carried a very tired little girl home.

Dinner and a Movie 2012

This is a little obsessive but we have so much going on this weekend that I have to blog this now. :) what an amazing time tonight!! Olivia had the best time. JA outdid themselves. I had to work the book drive and didn't really have a plan about what to do with o; figured I'd wing it. While walking to my booth we saw the KDs. This came in handy. I dropped o off there with Parker and the other girls. A little while later Parker had to leave so I got o and shortly after that drew got there so Shawn took over o duty. They walked away holding hands and I didn't see them again for over an hour. From what I hear they had a great time! If u missed this event this year u really need to make plans to attend next year.

O and Parker.

She took her to see a goat!

She let o paint her face. That's some awesome free babysitting!

I owe you a big one, parker!

O and her best friend.

Movie time! We left when O laid down and asked for her pillow!! She killed that cotton candy.

As soon as we got on the road o said "thank you for watching the movie." melt my heart. She talked about yogi bear the whole way home.

Spring is here!

And we are loving it!

Monday the weather couldn't have been more perfect. We played outside for over an hour after work.

And bc my child doesn't like to be alone I couldn't go inside to cook without her melting down. So a Johnny's date it was.

I'd promised her some puddle splashing after school yesterday so I fulfilled my promise. For a solid 45 min she played in this hole at our neighbor's house. I won the cool mom award!

She was soaking after it was all said and done!

St Patty's day 2012

So many pics. So little time. We ventured to Memphis for st patty's day / heath's birthday. And a grand time was had by all! I've never really celebrated this holiday other than wearing my customary green. Let me say that it is a fab holiday and I plan to celebrate it from here on out. We rolled into Memphis about 10:30 or so Friday night and headed to the flying saucer. There we took a tour of Germany. Heath and meg toured Amsterdam I think.

Then on to silky o's bc meg and I do love a piano bar. We called it a night after that as it was WAY past my bedtime. Saturday started with a BBQ lunch. I love dry ribs and these did not disappoint.

Then the general killing of time until the parade on Beale street.

The boy is Pearl jams biggest fan.

My dream guitar at the Gibson factory. If only I knew how to play.

Parade time.

The parade was a blast.

Then on to the Peabody to watch the ducks. We got there right at 5. Note to self. Get there early if u want to see.

Some cigar shopping.

We incorporated a history lesson into our trip. This is an original piece of the blarney wall from Ireland.

We ended saturday with dinner at Texas de Brazil. I'd never been to one. It was delish!!

What a great trip! But I was happy to get home to see my girl!!

Busy busy fun fun

I like to be busy. But not too busy. I still like my quiet nights at home too. That's my random thought for the day. Anyway, yesterday o had an appt with another dermatologist bc I didn't like what the other one told me last summer. Well, this one agreed abt her mole so I'm accepting that it won't be cut off. And I'm ok with it. When she's old enough to make that decision for herself we'll let her. Long story short o didn't go down for her nap until AFTER her appt at 4:30. This was NOT my plan! I had to wake her up at 5:40 so we could go to kindermusik. The first few minutes were tough but she finally came around and cheered up!

Would u look at these long legs. My baby has some length on her!

Today marked a milestone. I finally refinanced my house into my name! I own this sucker outright now! In the 7 years I've lived here my house has grown by 64 square feet. I bet you didn't know houses could grow! :)

To celebrate the boy took me to cotton in Monroe. It was so good! We had a rough past week or so with each other; we were both tired and cranky and just couldn't find our groove. We recognized it and fixed it! This to say that regardless of what I post on here I don't live in rose colored glasses! He works nights and I parent a rowdy 2 year old and sometimes it just catches up to us. Anyway, tonight was kind of our "I'm over it" night. We're no longer tired and cranky and we like each other again. :) the sea bass may or may not have had something to do with that! Ha!!

And he knows the way to my heart is with candy. He brought me a big bag of m&m's as a closing present!

Great weekend

I need to get these pics uploaded bc we have a busy week ahead of us! Saturday morning we got up at the crack of dawn (totally not joking) to go have breakfast with the Easter bunny. I'm not sure why I thought this would be a great idea considering how o feels about costumes! We met Julie and her boys at the bossier civic center and had a great time. Until it was time to meet the bunny!

I cannot wait to see our pics with the bunny that Julie took! I was sitting in the bunny's lap and o was screaming her head off! I'm sure they are hysterical! Then we shopped the junior league market and headed home. We met missy and the boy at sundown for an afternoon on the patio. Some very sweet little girls shared their bubbles with o.

Then home to finally put on play clothes and get dirty! We opened the sandbox for the first time this year and o played for a good long time while we piddled in the backyard. She also swang a good bit. FLEW out 3 times, landed face first, got up and wanted more!! So wish I had that on video!!

Sunday o and I overslept bc of the time change but we made it to church in time! I wore a ponytail but at least we were there!

It stormed all day and this was the sky at 7:30 last night headed west on the interstate. Kinda creepy!

And for my record keeping purposes only. I cannot believe I sent o to school with her hair like this today! She wanted a ponytail and I wanted her bangs out of her face. We compromised!
