Fun times!

Matt came home from Vegas Monday and we were so excited to see him!


On Tuesday o got to stay with gg all day at Jenny's new house. I met them at princess camp at lunch and it was so much fun! They learned how to walk, sit, hold their dresses, got their makeup done, etc.








And then, according to mom, o single handedly unloaded the pantry into the new house.


Jackie called me at work about 4:30 and asked if o could go spend the night with her. She was SOOO excited.


They watched beauty and the beast about 30 times.


Dad brought o back this afternoon and she had to stay at my office until rett could get her at 5. It was a long hour while I tried to get things done but she did really well. She was quiet and didn't bother my coworkers so that's all I really cared about!


So o had a mini vaca during this spring break week. I love that she gets that one on one time with her aunts/uncles!!

Weekend o' fun!

I am beat! But it's been fun!! Friday after work o and I ran several errands and then had a nice, quiet, quality time at home. We needed that to gear up for the weekends activities. Sat morning we went to the KD egg hunt, then to a wedding shower and then to cupcakes with Cinderella, all before 1pm.








O's been looking forward to Cinderella for weeks now. And it did not disappoint.




















Brittany williams outdid herself! This was suppose to be a small kid party to just hang out and dye eggs. The weather didn't cooperate so the party was moved inside. She went above the call of duty and I'm sure her house will never be the same!











And today was just as busy. Church, lunch and egg hunt at church following the service and then Alli's birthday party.

And now o is capping off her fun weekend with a play date at mrs brooksie's house while I REST! I know she's having a blast!

Spring has sprung

And other than the pollen it's been wonderful! Playing outside after dinner until dark, shorts and tshirts, Easter egg hunts. I love spring time!!





Today was her school egg hunt. Me, mom and rett all went. O was so excited that we were all coming to picnic and hunt with her.

Dr Seuss week!

Call me a nerd. I don't care. If there's an event at school we are participating. From the mundane to the big to-dos.

I'm not sure what went on Monday and Tuesday but we did it up right Wednesday and Thursday (today). Wednesday was my scheduled day to read to her class. We chose green eggs and ham. And bc I chose the worst work week ever to go overboard as a parent I decided we needed to take green eggs with us. So Tuesday night I stayed up way past my bedtime dying the eggs my mom so graciously boiled for me earlier in the day. O wore her fabulous dr Seuss dress made by her very own great aunt linda.














Today was "dress as your favorite character day". I think o was the only one in her class to dress up! But I'm not going to let a dress up day get past me! It's so much fun to dress up!!











And. The bad news. Today was brooksie's last day. I've shed many a tear over this fact the past two weeks. O will be fine. I know that. I'm more worried about me! Brooksie became a friend. And I'm not going to see her everyday like I'm used to. And who's going to send me pics/texts/stories of O almost everyday? And will the new teacher let o color during nap so she'll sleep at night??? How do I approach that with the new teacher?!? Will the new teacher love o like I do. Bc I know Brooksie loves my child!! She loves all those kids. And let me assure you that they love her! And that's so important to me. So mom took o shopping Tuesday to get her a gift. O picked out a necklace and a "pocket angel". And she wanted to write a note to Brooksie so mom dictated it for her.


O gave it to Brooksie on Wednesday. We both cried! I wish her well in her new career. But I secretly wish I could afford to send her back to school, get her certified in all grades and let her be o's teacher until high school graduation. Bc that would make my life so much easier. Sadly it's not all about me! Dang it!!
